Our story

It began with one person.

Oyster Wellness began with a custom meditation chair and a question: what more could furniture do for the person who uses it? That commission grew into a practice bringing together fine furniture making, specialist knowledge and a close attention to the individual.

Oyster Studio Furniture is the custom practice within Oyster Wellness. Our work combines traditional fine furniture making with advanced fabrication, from bent laminated timber and veneer to bronze, glass and architectural metal.

We work closely with each client, resolving aesthetic and technical details from the initial brief through delivery. That capability is the foundation for the new ideas we bring to our collections.

    A conversation, sketches and material samples establish what the piece should be and how it should feel.

  2. Make, test, refine.

    Material samples, prototypes and technical planning resolve the form, construction and finish before the piece is complete.

  3. Carry it through.

    Crating, shipping, installation planning and care instructions complete the custom project.
