A wellness room begins with what you want to do there: sit quietly, listen to music, read or create a place for a pause within a shared setting. Oyster Wellness brings furniture, lighting, material choices and custom design into that conversation.
Start with the experience and the space
Tell us who will use the room and how it fits into daily life. A private study, a hospitality space and a workplace room call for different furniture and specifications. Share plans, photographs, dimensions and the activities you want the space to support.
A dedicated room is one approach. A considered corner within an existing interior can also create a place for an individual activity. The brief should define the space available, the number of users and the relationship to the surrounding rooms.
Furniture and light, considered together
The Meditation Chair offers an open, backless sitting platform for a personal practice. The Listening Chair, developed with Brodmann Acoustics, brings furniture design into a listening space. Circadia introduces a broad field of light, while Attune explores an enclosing upholstered form and smooth timber handrests.
These pieces can form part of a wider interior brief. Through Oyster Studio Furniture, we can discuss an individual table, fitted cabinet or other custom piece developed around the space.
Resolve materials and practical requirements
For a commercial space, begin with an RFQ. We discuss the appropriate fabric and specification, including commercial upholstery, wipeable fabric options and customer-owned material where suitable. Website purchases do not include trade warranty coverage.
Bring the practical details into the brief early: access, delivery destination, furniture dimensions, cleaning requirements and the timing of the wider project. Listening-room projects should also describe the listening setup and the intended seat position.
What to include in your enquiry
- Project type, location and the people who will use the space.
- Plans or dimensions, photographs and relevant access information.
- The activities and Oyster pieces you are considering.
- Material, color, care and commercial specification requirements.
- An indicative budget and desired programme.
- The designers, architects or other specialists already involved.
Agree the scope before the work begins
Every space is different. The proposal should confirm the design scope, furniture and material specifications, pricing, lead times and delivery arrangements. Discuss any room construction, acoustic work or installation requirements with the studio so the responsibilities and specialist involvement are clear.
